Ecological power (or green energy)

« Back to Glossary Index

Green power, also known as green energy, refers to energy produced from renewable or environmentally friendly sources.
The main sources of green energy include solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectric power, geothermal energy and energy derived from biomass and organic waste. These sources are considered sustainable because they rely on natural resources that are abundant or can be regenerated over time, minimising the depletion of non-renewable resources.
The use of green power for electric vehicles contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and air pollution, improving air quality and reducing the negative environmental impact associated with conventional vehicles.
