Off-grid recharging of electric vehicles refers to complementary solutions to on-grid charging points, traditionally based on recharging the car through a direct connection to the power grid via posts or wallboxes.
Off-grid technology involves using another, so to speak intermediate, device, such as, for example, an e-van for on-demand mobile charging.
Alongside mobile charging solutions, there are also storage systems with renewable energy sources, temporary stations equipped with an accumulator, robots capable of autonomously reaching the car to be recharged and finally, battery swaps.
Essentially, in off-grid charging, the two phases of taking electricity from the grid and supplying it to the vehicle do not overlap and can be done at different times and places.
