RPh stands for ‘Range Per Hour’ and indicates the kilometres of range per hour of charging. In other words, it refers to the maximum number of kilometres of range per hour that a charging station can provide. RPH is a new parameter to measure the performance of electric vehicle charging stations and with which drivers can estimate the distance they can travel after plugging in.
The amount of range that a charging station can provide an electric vehicle depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, the state of charge of the battery, the type of charger and the temperature of the battery. RPh is only an estimate, but it can give an approximate idea of how many kilometres can be gained from a charging session.
